Possible to set nGen file field to required?

Hi,

Is it possible to require that the nGen file be filled in? I've set the custom field to "required" but it seems to ignore the setting.

   What version of EE, fieldframe, and ngen file are you using?
   Is the ngen file field in a matrix? If so this is a limitation of the matrix field type.

   Hi,

   I'm using EE 1.6.8 and the latest of the other two. I am trying to use it in a matrix so it sounds like that's the limitation. However, if I wasn't and just using it in a saef is it possible?

   Lori, the required setting is honored for nGen File fields that are not part of a matrix so it should indeed function in a SAEF scenario.
